Added In: Eating & Drinking › Eating › French
Address: Dining Bar Cream, Nishiki 3-2-1, Naka ku, Nagoya.
On Sakuradorii, 3 blocks west of Exit 4, Hisaya Odori station in Nagoya, is Dining Bar Cream. From the outside it appears a small bar, but the restaurant section is actually to the rear, seating around 70 customers. Guests are welcome to just stop into the bar for a drink, or spend an evening in the restaurant.
Cream boasts an extensive wine menu (some 130 varieties from France, Italy, California, New Zealand and Australia, to mention a few), and this is backed up by a large menu of over 50 dishes, with around 12 daily specials. Wines and beers start from 600 yen/glass, cocktails from 700 yen. The menu is mainly French in inspiration, with a focus on using fresh local produce wherever possible. Uchiwa ebi (shovel nose lobster) from Mikawa Bay is a favourite. Mains start from around 900 yen, but course menus seem to be the most popular (from 5000 yen).
