You don’t need to go Thailand to enjoy real Thai cuisine. Housed in a classic building, right beside the river in Nagoya’s city center, Siam Garden is here to offer fine Thai food. Despite the impression received from the exterior, lunch or dinner is not going to require a mortgage. Lunch is particularly reasonable, with choices of several dishes, and dessert of your favourite ice cream flavours or mango pudding. Upstairs reminds me of a classic colonial style hotel you might stumble across in Bangkok, Rangoon or Saigon. The big windows and the high ceilings set the ambience for relaxed dining. All chefs are from Thailand so you can be assured of the authenticity of the cooking. Siam garden is also available for functions. http://www.siamgarden.jp Phone 052-222-8600, Open for lunch 11:30 – 14:30 and dinner 17:30 – 22:30, closed first and third Sunday of the month.
